🌆“Zona Romántica” is the informal name for an area in southern Puerto Vallarta that includes the colonias Emiliano Zapata, Alta Vista and Amapas

• The ambience is a mix of traditional-town charm and beachside/bohemian vibe: cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, small hotels/hostels/condos, art galleries, cafés, and a lot within walking distance.

• The area includes some of the city’s most famous beaches: Playa Los Muertos (with its pier), plus Playa Olas Altas and smaller beaches around Amapas. 
• There’s a great variety of places to eat — from traditional Mexican “cenadurías” and taco stands to fine-dining restaurants, sidewalk cafés, and international cuisine.
• The arts, culture, and shopping scene is strong: galleries, artisan shops, handmade crafts, local markets (e.g. a farmers’ market in the nearby park on Saturdays in season), bookshops, small boutiques, etc.
